Posada Real la Cartería, located in the heart of the historic-artistic center of the medieval town of Puebla de Sanabria, in a building built in 1736, was formerly the collection office for tithes from the Cistercian monks and also the first post office in the Sanabria region, hence its name. This inn stands between the Plaza Mayor and surrounded by the wall of the Castle of the Counts of Benavente.
Its renovation has respected the original aesthetics based on facades of stone slabs from the country, centuries-old wooden beams, oak floors and slate roofs. The house preserves its Sanabria galleries or corridors from which the surroundings of the Tera River and the Castle wall can be seen.

It has eight different and very spacious rooms with Twin or King Size beds and the possibility of an extra bed and cot for babies; distributed in 5 Suites and 3 Double rooms, all equipped with TV, DVD, free minibar, electric coffee maker with capsules, safe, Wi-Fi connection, laptop (upon request) and full bathroom with hairdryer, magnifying mirror and personalized amenities; In addition, the Suites have hydromassage bathtubs or jacuzzi and air conditioning.

Throughout the year, various Gastronomic Days are held, such as: Sanabria Cuisine Days, Mycological Days, etc.

We have been eating and everything perfect. The site is beautiful, cozy and all decoration in stone and wood. The scrambled eggs were very good, well prepared and the flavors identified.
